Maintenance of Automotive Air Conditioning

Replace the dust filter

Conventional air conditioning system cleaning includes replacing filter elements, using cleaning agents, and removing for cleaning. Replacing the dust filter is the simplest method, which is low-cost but can keep the air intake unobstructed. Car owners with some mechanical knowledge can clean it themselves. The dust filters of most small cars are located under the front windshield of the car and covered by a drain. When replacing the dust filter, you can first lift the engine hood, remove the clip that fixes the water tank, and remove the water tank to see the dust filter. If the dust filter has not been used for a long time, it can be blown clean with high-pressure air; If it is already clogged, simply remove and replace the original dust filter, and then install it as it is.

External circulation air duct sterilization

There are many cleaning agents available on the market for cleaning air conditioning ducts, and car owners can choose them themselves. Remove the dust filter, start the vehicle, turn on the air conditioner and place the air conditioner in the external circulation gear, spray the foam like cleaning agent to the dust filter, the external circulation air of the air conditioner will suck the cleaning agent into the air duct, sterilize the air duct, the air conditioner evaporator and the decomposition of the warm air tank, and remove the odor. The dirt will become liquid and flow out of the air conditioner outlet. After the cleaning work is completed, it is best to replace the dust filter, and fresh air will be blown out of the car's air outlet.

Send to maintenance station for cleaning

Replacing the dust filter and using cleaning agents to clean the air duct are both done from the outside of the air conditioning system. If the air volume at the air outlet is still very low and the odor is not completely removed after cleaning, the only option is to go to the repair shop to remove the air box, replace the evaporator, and manually clean the housing of the air conditioning heating device. However, the air box is usually installed under the dashboard of the car, which requires a lot of maintenance work and incurs high costs.

Using ozone for sterilization

Using high concentration ozone water for sterilization treatment of automotive air conditioners. It is understood that ozone water is currently one of the strongest oxidants available, which can easily oxidize and denature the protein shells of bacteria and fungi, quickly kill bacterial propagules and spores, and oxidize and decompose Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, hepatitis virus, and influenza virus. Ozone has active properties and can self reduce to oxygen at room temperature, making it currently the most environmentally friendly bactericidal substance.
